NOTE:
Any middle, high school, and college student can apply for internships. We are working on getting approved for service learning credit with the Guam Public Schools. There are 16 Internships listed, but it is possible to have more than one person in a position.
Send me an email at the address on the contact page telling me about yourself and what your interests are. It would be great to prioritize your interests.

Director
The Director Intern must have excellent leadership skills, as the Director of the play is the one who oversees all aspects of the play production. The Director is the BOSS of the play. The Director Intern will not only direct the acting, and determine blocking positions, he or she will also make sure that everyone else is doing their jobs so that it all comes together in the end. (Don't worry, you'll get plenty of support from your mentor and the Project Coordinator). If you are a great leader, are good at working with others, and know what good acting is, this will be a good position for you.

Drama Leaders will need to have good leadership skills, and the ability to learn from a mentor and transfer that learning by teaching to others. You will be responsible to lead warm-up and ensemble-building exercises for the duration of the project, except for the performances. You may choose to teach others to lead the exercises as well. If you enjoy drama games that use your imagination, like improvisation and role-play, then this is a good job for you.

The Music Director Intern will need to be able to play either guitar or keyboard and be able to sing, so that he or she can direct the songs that are in the play. The Music Director is responsible for all the musical components of the play, both the vocal music and dance. The Intern, together with the Mentor and Director, will determine how the music will be integrated into the performance. You will have to lead the musicians that you decide to use in the play. Costume Designer
The Costume Design Intern will be responsible for the design and construction of the costumes needed for the play. Our vision for the play is to make it as simple as possible, so you will have to use your imagination to design and construct costumes that are appropriate, but simple. Sewing skills are desirable, but if you are willing to learn, your mentor can teach you the necessary skills. The Costume Design Intern may be someone who is interested in fashion, or any aspect of dressing-up, such as at Halloween. The Intern will work with the Costume Design Mentor to design and construct costumes that are appropriate and integral to the play.
Set Designer
The Set Designer will work with the Set Designer Mentor to design a simple, portable set for the production. This Intern will work with the Set Construction and Set Artist interns to construct and paint the set for the play. If you like to plan and build things, this is a good job for you.
Sound Designer
The Sound Designer will be responsible for designing a sound plan that supports the atmosphere and action of the play. This intern will work with the Sound Design Mentor to identify and plan for parts of the play that need sound effects, or sound elements. Since the vision of the play is to make it simple, we are going to use basic percussion instruments for the sound design. If you are someone who does a lot of desk-drumming, and is particularly aware of how sounds carry meaning and feeling, this would be a good position for you.
Stage Manager
The Stage Manager of a production is someone who "runs" the show. The Stage Manager Intern will be mentored by the Director Mentor, who will teach you the skills and responsibilities necessary to make sure the show runs smoothly. You are the person who tells the actors when to go on stage and gives them a line if they forget it. You will also keep the record of blocking, lighting and sound directions, set changes and cues. If you are someone who is a good leader, organized, alert, and responsible, this will be a good job for you.

You will be part of a team mentored by the Set Design Mentor.
Sound Technician
We will need someone who will be responsible for playing the recorded sounds (anything not live, such as for the traditional dance numbers) needed for the performances and rehearsals. This will be on a laptop, so computer skills will be important. You will be mentored by the Sound Design Mentor.
