All Teaching Artists will have as their primary focus mentoring the Intern or Interns assigned to them, to give them the skills and support needed for them to succeed in their parts of the project.
The Drama Leader Mentor will lead the project participants in drama exercises in the opening week. The purpose of the drama exercises is to foster creative thinking and dramatic expression through use of techniques such as role-play, improvisation, tableau, ensemble-building, and pantomime. Commitment is to:
Remuneration: The Drama Leader Mentor will be paid $500 upon fulfillment of commitment.
- Attend planning meeting with team in May (Details TBD.) There is a possibility that an additional meeting will need to be scheduled prior to the program starting,
- Plan and collaborate on drama exercises for a 2.5 hour session on Monday, June 8.
- Lead drama exercises on Monday, June 8, from 9:30 - 12:00 and on Thursday, June 11, from 9:00-10:00.
- Mentor drama leader intern(s) to conduct daily drama exercises for project.
- Attend team meeting on Friday, June 12 from 12:00 - 3:00 and contribute to decision-making for intern positions and casting.
- Provide acting coaching to actors as requested by director.
- Be available to support Intern as needed for the duration of the project.
Remuneration: The Drama Leader Mentor will be paid $500 upon fulfillment of commitment.
